
President Droupadi Murmu is on two day visit of Itanagar
Guwahati: President Droupadi Murmu will be on a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh and will participate in the state’s 37th Statehood Day celebrations in Itanagar on Monday.
This is the President’s first visit to Arunachal Pradesh after assuming office.
She will also attend a civic reception in her honor by the state government.
According to official sources, President Indira Gandhi is expected to inaugurate and inaugurate several projects during the Foundation Day celebrations at the park, including laying the foundation stone of joint directorate of State Human Rights Commission, Lokayukta and State Food Commission.
Meanwhile, President Murmu will also lay the foundation stone of a 40-km double-lane road between Donyi Polo Airport and Naharlagun Railway Station via Sonajuli and Durpang. On February 21, the President will address a special session of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly in Itanagar.
