Guwahati: President Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Dhubri Medical College in Assam on October 12.

Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta informed this.

Dhubri Medical College will be the ninth medical college in Assam.

President Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Dhubri Medical College in Assam virtually from Guwahati.
Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta visited the newly constructed Dhubri Medical College on Wednesday and reviewed the preparations for the inauguration.
Classes for the first batch of 100 students at Assam’s Dhubri Medical College will begin from November this year.
The Assam Health Minister also held a meeting with the officials of Dhubri Medical College and other delegates.
Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said, “Discussions were held on various aspects regarding this (inauguration) and also inquired about the conditions necessary to make the medical college operational from November 1.”

Rajya Sabha MP Pabitra Margherita, MLA Wajid Ali Choudhury, Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri and SP were also present in the meeting.
