Kakching: An active member of the freedom fighter group People’s Revolutionary Party (PREPAK-Progressive) was detained in Manipur on March 5.
According to a press statement issued on March 5, Baghi was arrested by the Phunderi Battalion of the Assam Rifles at Hiyanglam in Manipur’s Kakching district on the instructions of Headquarters IGAR (South).
The Assam Rifles conducted a joint operation with the CDO representative based on specific information about the presence of PREPAK Pro freedom fighter involved in illegal activities like extortion. According to the press release, this led to the capture of an active Prepak freedom fighter in Hiyanglam, Kakching District.
According to the statement, the arrested person has been handed over to the Hiyanglam police for further investigation and any necessary legal action.
