New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday emphasized the BJP’s dedication to the development of Meghalaya and Nagaland.

BJP president JP Nadda released the party manifesto for Meghalaya on Wednesday and Nagaland on Tuesday.
Modi said, “BJP will provide all-round development to Meghalaya and focus on governance that fulfills the aspirations of the youth.” Our manifesto describes our plan for the state.
In another tweet, he said, “Our party is fully committed to give further momentum to the development of Nagaland. Its vision is reflected in the party’s vision document.
In its manifesto for Meghalaya, where the BJP is contesting all 60 assembly seats for the first time, the party promised 33 percent reservation for women in government jobs and implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations for state employees.
The BJP promised Rs 5 meals through canteens, free education for girls till post-graduation, free scooters for women college toppers, a government bond of Rs 50,000 on the birth of a girl child and an all-women police battalion. What was Voted to gain power in Meghalaya, which has a matriarchal society.

In Nagaland, the party has promised a special package for the eastern part of the state and a board for the all-round development of the region.
The BJP and its ally NDPP are contesting the February 27 assembly elections with a 20:40 seat-sharing arrangement.

Both states will go to polls on February 27 while counting will take place on March 2.
