Agartala: PM Narendra Modi on Saturday termed a section of political parties as ‘double-edge sword’ and appealed to voters to beware of such forces. The Prime Minister addressed two election rallies at Ambassa in Dhalai district and Udaipur in Gomati district as part of his campaign for BJP candidates in Tripura.
“There are some voters who are also in the political arena. Their key agenda is to engage in Parle after polls are over. Don’t fall for them. Votes should go to BJP and its allies,” PM said,Addressing a rally in of RK Pur (Udaipur).
The Prime Minister, however, did not clarify who he was referring to as “vote cutters”.
Further focusing his attacks on the Left and the Congress, the Prime Minister described the two parties as a “double-edged sword” for voters who once believed in them.
“First they were against each other and now with each other. The fact remains; they cannot control their habit of collecting forced donations. Just to ensure that their profit-making scheme succeeds.” , they have forgotten their past,” the prime minister added.
He also criticized the Left Congress seat-sharing adjustment and said, “These two parties are like wrestling in Tripura and friendship in Delhi.”
PM also mentioned how the Left parties allegedly institutionalized corruption, growth stalled under the Left and Congress rule and the BJP emerged as the savior of the poor whose rights were “looted by left-wing activists”.
Interestingly, the Prime Minister refrained from saying anything against Tipra Motha and Trinamool Congress, two political parties that have fielded candidates in a significant number of constituencies unlike the Left Alliance.
Mentioning the benefits of a “double engine government”, the Prime Minister said, “Ration to the poor, piped drinking water to every household, rural electrification and HIRA (Highway, Internet, Railway, Air A successful implementation of the Viz) model is likely to establish a dual-engine regime in the state and should continue the momentum of development in the state.
In his attempt to reach out to the tribal population, who play a key role in deciding the fate of any political party in Tripura, the Prime Minister referred to the party’s resounding victory in the tribal belt of Gujarat and said, “The central government has What has been added to it.
