Petrol bomb attack on Mawlai police station, vehicle caught fire

Shillong: Unidentified assailants hurled a petrol bomb at Mawlai Police Station in Meghalaya’s Shillong in the early hours of Wednesday. The incident occurred just after the arrest KSU members in Ichamati double murder case.

As a result of the incident, the police car parked outside the police station caught fire.
The incident took place around 2 am on Wednesday (03 April).

Before the attack, the two men had approached Meghalaya’s Mawlai police station on a two-wheeler.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
Meanwhile, the incident is under investigation.

Authorities in Meghalaya have started a case in connection with the incident.
Efforts are on to arrest those responsible for the attack.
