Peace talk of Center and KLO in progress, committee formed

Biswajit Rai, a member of the peace committee formed by the Kamtapur Liberation Organization (KLO), today announced that progress has been made in the peace talks between the KLO and the central government. Rai said that he is in touch with Jeevan Singha, and talks are on.
The Sangha, according to Rai, has said that Kamtapur belongs not only to the Koch Rajbangshi people, but to all the people of the land. A special delegation from the Prime Minister and the Home Minister is holding talks with the Sangha, and after discussions with various party organizations a coordination committee has been formed to discuss how the peace talks will proceed.
Rai said that talks will be held with the central government through the peace committee. Koch Rajbangshi Chintan is part of several party organizations in Parivartan, and a convention has been organized to seek advice from intellectual social workers.
Reacting to singer Zubeen Garg’s comment on Kamtapur, Rai said that KLO has no objection to anyone’s comment. According to Rai, everyone has freedom of speech and can speak against anything as per the Indian Constitution.Rai added that whoever is saying that Assam will be divided during the formation of Kamtapur state, they need to come and talk to them. Rai asserted that the KLO was not demanding anything else, they were only demanding what was their right, and that they did not intend to partition Assam. Rai also expressed his respect for Zubeen Garg representing Assam.
The progress in the peace talks between the KLO and the central government is a positive development in the region, and it is hoped that these talks will lead to a peaceful resolution of the conflict. The formation of the coordination committee is a step in the right direction and it is expected that discussions with various party organizations will help in building a consensus on the way forward. The people of Kamtapur deserve peace and stability and it is hoped that these peace talks will help in achieving these goals.
