Itanagar: The Special Investigation Cell (SIC) of Arunachal raided the office premises of the Directorate of Elementary Education and the director’s residence in connection with the illegal appointment of 28 primary teachers in Longding district of the state.
By SIC (VIC) PS C/No.02/2023 under Sections 120(B), 420, 409, 468, and 471 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, a case has been registered at Long Point for alleged illegality in District 1988.
Following the alarming findings of the Fact-Finding Committee report, there have been allegations of corruption and misappropriation of massive fake appointments of 28 primary teachers in Longding district without following due process.
Since the SIC (VIG) PS formally registered the case on 7 July 2023, the matter is under intensive investigation.
The purpose of the investigation is to expose the truth behind the illegal appointments and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
In an effort to bring the culprits to justice, SIC teams raided various residential and office premises in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam on 24 July 2023. These raids were carried out in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies to ensure the collection of vital evidence.
