Assam: Indian Youth Congress (IYC) Srinivas BV on Tuesday filed a defamation case against IYC’s Assam unit chief Angkita Dutta.
This comes moments after Angkita Dutta accused Srinivas of sexism and harassment.
Earlier in the day, Angkita criticized Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for failing to take action against the IYC chief despite her complaints.
In a series of tweets, she wrote, “IYC president Srinivas BV has continuously harassed me and discriminated on the basis of my gender. My values and education no longer allow me. However, the ears of the leadership are deaf.
After this incident, Srinivas filed a defamation case against him. Taking to Twitter, she re-shared a previous post by Angkita wishing her on her birthday and posted pictures of a legal notice with the caption, “Anyone who lies and defames. “If found involved in promoting/disseminating offensive content, he/she will be held liable under relevant laws and arrested. Accountable for their actions.”
