Nagaland: In a fresh attempt to achieve a long-awaited solution to the Naga political issue, the Government of India’s representative for the Naga talks, AK Mishra, will arrive in Nagaland on April 12.
According to reports, AK Mishra will hold talks with NSCN (IM) members on April 13.
Mishra is also likely to meet members of civil society organizations and other Naga groups during his stay.
According to sources, the NSCN (IM) delegation will be led by Th, the group’s Eto Closer and chief negotiator.
As mentioned earlier, a central team was working on a new set of “formulation papers” that would include new and old proposals to facilitate the signing of a final peace agreement as soon as possible.
The Center is of the view that a Naga flag for a Pan-Naga cultural institution and a final agreement called Naga “Yehzabo” can be agreed upon following the resolution.
The NSCN (IM), on the other hand, remained steadfast in its support for the August 3, 2015 Framework Agreement for a prompt, dignified, and consensual resolution of the contentious Naga political issue.
