Assam: A 26-year-old boy was brutally murdered on Tuesday at Makum in Assam’s Tinsukia district.
According to sources, a youth identified as Pranjal Moran was beaten to death by 8 people in Rupnagar area of Makum over an argument.
First, the deceased was put in the trunk of the Baleno vehicle.
The unconscious youth was then dragged out of the trunk of the car and brutally assaulted by the goons in front of his elder sister.
On the basis of the FIR filed by Pranjal Moran’s family, the police have detained five people involved in the incident and are interrogating them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Nita Tanti of Gandhinagar, Salil Chautal of Tengapani Tea Estate, Janto Tanti of Makum of Gandhinagar, Naren Praja of Makum Hebeda village, Kailash Panika of Tengapani Tea Estate. The rest of the accused are currently absconding.
The family of the victim has demanded strict punishment from the Makum police through the media.
