Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will file a defamation case against Rahul Gandhi over the Congress leader’s ‘Adani’ tweet.
This was confirmed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday (April 09).

“Definitely, a defamation case will be filed in Guwahati,” the Assam chief minister added.
It should be noted that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had told Rahul Gandhi that he would meet the senior Congress leader in the court.
“We will meet in court,” Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in response to a tweet by senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
This reaction of Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma came in response to a tweet by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, which mentioned the names of turncoats and billionaire Gautam Adani.
The Assam chief minister said it was ‘polite’ of the BJP not to question Rahul Gandhi on the Bofors scam and the National Herald scam.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “It was our courtesy that you never asked you where you (Rahul Gandhi) hid the money from the Bofors and National Herald scams?”

It may be noted that Rahul Gandhi on Saturday (April 08) doubled down on his allegations against the Adani Group, saying that the departure of Congress leaders to the BJP was just a distraction.
“They hide the truth, therefore they mislead daily!” Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet.
The question is, who has the benami amount of Rs 20,000 crore in Adani’s companies? Rahul Gandhi added, posting graphics naming five Congress turncoats, including Himanta Biswa Sarma, to spell Adani.
