
One shot dead in BSF firing along Indo-Bangladesh border
Guwahati: The Border Security Force (BSF) reportedly opened fire on an alleged smuggler along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Mankachar, resulting in his death on February 21.
The deceased smuggler has been identified as Shahinur Islam, 26, a resident of Char Kukurmara village in the Mankassar police station area.
The incident occurred during an alleged cattle smuggling bid by the deceased on February 21 night. The exact location of the firing was reported to be the Kukurmara border area.
The incident has caused a stir in the local area, with a sense of unease spreading among the residents.
