Agartala: TIPRA Motha Chairman Pradyot Manikya Debbarma on May 23 made a sensational statement criticizing the state government saying that he did not like the attitude of the state government on the TIPRA issue and thus he would not like the interlocutor will not meet AK Mishra.
Pradyot Manikya made this sensational statement through a video message online, saying that he had already made his stand clear to the government. “My team will go and meet the speaker, I won’t, because it takes two hands to raise a voice. I see the attitude of the state government which seems not in our favour. I have made mistakes. Ki, BJP, CPI(M) have also made mistakes. I will talk to everyone.”
“A few days ago a leader called me saying Maharaja, Tipraland ‘s idea is good but we have to feed our families too. We can join BJP. We don’t want to join BJP but feed our family. Can join BJP to see and feed.
I said you can leave, I have no objection to anyone joining BJP from the party. And don’t say later that my son is working as a peon while my neighbor’s son who is a Bengali is working as an officer”, added Pradyot Manikya.
Pradyot, who is also a royal from Tripura, has indicated that his party will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Taking to Facebook, he urged Manik Sarkar, former chief minister and CPIM politburo member, to remain silent, as he had failed miserably in his role as opposition leader during the last five years.
