On election duty BSF jawan found dead mysteriously in Tripura

Agartala: A tragic incident took place in Tripura’s East parliamentary constituency, as a 27-year-old Border Security Force (BSF) jawan posted on Lok Sabha election duty was found dead inside a bus while returning to a makeshift camp in Kanchanpur under North district.
A jawan belonging to the 199th battalion of the BSF in Panisagar, North Tripura, identified as Raksa Nargis Keshav, hailed from Latur in Maharashtra.
The circumstances surrounding his death are uncertain.

While some sources suggest the possibility of suicide or accidental death, an investigation has been launched to find out the exact cause.

The incident took place late at night, with Keshav’s body found in the bus alongside other BSF jawan. Notably, his rifle was unlocked at the time of discovery.

Currently, the deceased’s body rests at the mortuary of the Kanchanpur sub-division hospital. Post-mortem procedures are scheduled for Thursday, after which the body will be handed over to his relatives.

The unfortunate incident casts a shadow over ongoing election activities in the region, prompting authorities to take a deeper look into the circumstances surrounding the soldier’s untimely death.
