On April 14 PM Modi to inaugurate projects of Rs 8,000 cr in Assam

Assam: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on April 9 that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stones of several development projects worth Rs 8,000 crore during his visit to the state on April 14.
CM Sarma was speaking at a press conference where he informed about PM Modi’s visit to the state on the occasion of Bohag Bihu.
Ahead of the PM’s arrival, CM Sarma announced several projects that PM Modi will flag off, including the inauguration of the 750-bed AIIMS Guwahati in Changsari, at a cost of Rs 1,123 crore. Modi will also inaugurate new medical colleges at a cost of Rs 1,600 crore in Nalbari, Nagaon and Kokrajhar with a total of 1,500 beds.
PM Modi will also distribute AB-PMJAY cards to 1.10 crore beneficiaries.
To boost the state’s infrastructure, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of a bridge over the Brahmaputra river connecting Palashbari and Sualkuchi, at a cost of Rs 3,197 crore.
Meanwhile, in a bid to bring Bihu to the global stage, a total of 11,000 dancers and drummers will perform at the Sarusajai Stadium on April 14, aiming to make it to the Guinness World Records.
