Imphal: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will reach Manipur on May 29.
This was informed by the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs – Nityanand Rai on Thursday in Imphal, Manipur.
It is noteworthy that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will reach Manipur on a three-day visit.
Amit Shah will be in Manipur from May 29 to June 1.
Earlier, Amit Shah himself said that he will visit Manipur for three days.
“I will visit Manipur and stay there for three days,” Amit Shah had said.
Amit Shah was addressing an event at Sankardev Kalakhetra in Guwahati, Assam.
Addressing the event, Amit Shah also assured that justice will be provided to all the violence victims of Manipur.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday (May 25), “Nobody involved in violence will be spared”.
During his visit to Manipur, Amit Shah said that he will engage in discussions with all stakeholders.
The Union Home Minister also said that it was “for the first time in Manipur in the last six years, since the BJP came to power in the state, this kind of violence has broken out”.
Seeking to distance the BJP governments – both at the Center and in Manipur – Amit Shah said that the violence had erupted because of the court’s verdict.
Amit Shah said, “I appeal to all the people of Manipur to maintain peace.
He added: “Every problem can be solved through dialogue.”
