
Officials urged to increase export items to Bangladesh from Tripura
Agartala: Union Minister Anupriya Patel has asked the government officials to increase the number of goods exported to Bangladesh through Tripura by creating necessary facilities.
The Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, who was on a two-day visit to Tripura, met Chief Minister Manik Saha on September 12.
Patel held a meeting with Vishal Kumar, district magistrate of Sepahijala district, and other officials to review the development projects and export possibilities to Bangladesh.
The meeting held on Wednesday was also attended by Director of Industries and Commerce Vishwasree B and senior officers.
“We discussed issues related to development projects and exports with the Union Minister. He emphasized on increasing bilateral trade with the neighboring country by creating necessary facilities,” Kumar said.
The Minister of State for Commerce and Industry also emphasized on increasing the value of rubber as the northeastern state has abundant resources of natural rubber, he said.
