NSCN (IM) alarmed hotels, lodges not to entertain under youth

Kohima: The NSCN (IM) has warned hotels and lodges under its jurisdiction against entertaining underage/young girls or students in hotel rooms and has cautioned of strict action against those going against the directive. In a press release, the NSCN (IM) UT Secretary, Solomon Sumi cited instances where underage/young girls were caught in hotel rooms with non locals and with older men. Students were also caught red handed with uniform in hotel rooms, it stated.

While Naga society strongly advocates the dignity and honour of women, young girls seen selling their pride this way is very disheartening, it lamented.

The NSCN (IM), has, therefore directed all hotels and lodges to check identity card of the girl entering the hotel and not to allow those in uniform or underage girls. In case of non compliance, the owners of the hotels and lodges shall be punished as per Azha of NSCN/GPRN, it cautioned.

The NSCN (IM) also informed of some places in Dimapur town area running sex rackets, pimping young girls for money. Terming it as unacceptable to the Naga society, it warned of strict action and heavy penalty against defaulters.
