Kohima: The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) and the NSCN/GPRN (Khango) agreed on August 20 to resolve the current imbroglio between the two entities and have passed several resolutions to this effect.
At a meeting facilitated by the Ceasefire Monitoring Board (CFMB) in Kohima on Tuesday, the NSCN/GPRN (Khango) has agreed to “unconditionally withdraw the imposition of capital punishment to the proprietor of M/s KKB Rülho with immediate effect,” informed a joint statement by the AYO and NSCN/GPRN (Khango).
The NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango has also agreed to retract its directive given to the Angami contractors to cease activities and demobilise their workforce and machineries currently deployed across other districts of Nagaland with “immediate effect,” it said.
Meanwhile, the NSCN/GPRN (K) also assured to declare in public domain the identity of the person alias “Max Naga” and initiate appropriate disciplinary action against him on or before 15 days.
On its part, the AYO also agreed to withdraw its ‘non-cooperation’ and recalling back of Angami workers from the NSCN/GPRN (Khango).
As per the joint statement, during the meeting, the NSCN/GPRN (Khango) also expressed regret of the occurrence of the unfortunate issue.
The AYO also reiterated its stand on the Angami Public Organisation resolution of 1993, on “One Government, One Tax,” added the statement appended by the AYO President Kesosul Christopher Ltu, General Secretary Neidilhoutuo Sechü, NSCN/GPRN (Khango) Kilo Kilonser Visheto Yeptho and Supervisor, CFSB NSCN/GPRN (Khango), A Imyapangba Ao.
