NPCC: All 60 legislators are asked to resign

Dimapur: The NPCC (Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee) on Thursday asked all 60 state assembly legislators to submit their resignations and demand implementation of the Naga political solution.

NPCC President K Therie said this at a press conference here.
“If there is any sincerity on the part of the UDA government, they should submit their resignations to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and ask him to implement a political solution because after the state assembly polls, some No more left. Soon,” Therie said.

He also asked the Government of India not to keep the Naga people in suspense.

“Enough is enough,” he said.

“If they are honest, it is time they demand President’s rule and postpone the elections and implement a political solution. This is the stand the BJP and the state government should take,” he said.
“For the Nagas of Nagaland, the Naga National Political Parties (NNPGs) have signed a consensus position in November 2017 and since there will be no autonomy or merger, we do not need to wait for another negotiation because the two sides on Nagaland The solutions cannot be implemented, said the state Congress chief.
He therefore demanded that the agreement reached between the Center and the NNPGs through the agreed position should be implemented.
