NJP-Dhaka Mitali Exp to remain suspended for nine days due to Eid

The train administration between New Jalpaiguri and Dhaka Cantonment rail line stations was hailed off on June 1 this year by the rail line pastors of the two nations.

Guwahati: The administrations of Mitali Express, running between New Jalpaiguri in India and Bangladesh capital Dhaka, will stay suspended for nine days from July 6 considering Eid festivities in the adjoining country, a NFR discharge said on Saturday.

The administrations were suspended according to demand from Bangladesh Railways, it said, adding that normal administrations will continue not long after Eid festivity is over in the adjoining country.

“Indian Railways has chosen to drop the administrations of 13132 (New Jalpaiguri-Dhaka) and 13131 (Dhaka-New Jalpaiguri) Mitali Express from 06th July to fourteenth July, 2022 because of festivity of Eid celebration in Bangladesh,” the delivery gave by Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) said.

“Bangladesh Railways has mentioned Indian Railways to drop the outings of Mitali Express considering Eid celebration,” it said.

The train administration between New Jalpaiguri and Dhaka Cantonment rail route stations was hailed off on June 1 this year by the rail route clergymen of the two nations.

Traveler train administrations among India and Bangladesh had continued last month following two years of hole because of COVID-19 pandemic, the delivery added.
