Mnaipur: As many as 14 city branches of the Kuki Students Organization (KSO) on Monday condemned the announcement by the Committee of Tribal Unity (COTU) that the blockade on NH-2 would be lifted for a specific window.
A joint statement signed by KSO city branches of Pune, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chandigarh,Coimbatore, Shillong, Silchar, Guwahati, Imphal, Kerala, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi said that the decision was taken by the COTU was insensitive to failure to notice of tension in the Sugnu.
It urged the COTU to clarify its statement as soon as possible, stressing that any decision taken without general consensus would be considered null and void.
