NFR will run a special train between Guwahati and Kolkata to ease the festive rush
Guwahati: The North Eastern Frontier Railway (NFR) will run a two-week superfast summer special train between Guwahati and Kolkata between April 9 and May 29, 2022 to ease the extra rush of passengers during the festive season.
The Summer Special Train will consist of 15 coaches.
In addition to the two SLR coaches, there will be five AC three tier coaches, six sleeper class coaches, one AC first class low AC 2 tier sleeper coach and one general second class coach.
Train No. 02518 (Guwahati – Kolkata Special) will leave Guwahati Railway Station every Wednesday and Saturday from April 9 to May 28, 2022 at 9 pm.
An NFR statement said, “This summer special train will operate for a total of 15 trips and will pass through Goalpara, New Bongaigaon, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town and Nabadwip Dham railway stations at 3 pm the next day.
Train No. 02517 (Kolkata – Guwahati Special) will start its journey from Kolkata Railway Station every Thursday and Sunday from April 10 to May 29, 2022 at 9.40 pm. The Summer Special Train will cover a total of 15 trips from Kolkata at 3.55 pm, take the same route in the opposite direction to reach your destination at Guwahati Railway Station.
