Guwahati: NFR cancels several trains amid Assam floods, and damage to rail property in Bihar.
The North Eastern Frontier Railway (NFR) on Tuesday canceled several trains due to damage to railway property in parts of Bihar amid protests over the Agni Path scheme and floods in Assam.
An NFR spokesperson said that Kamkhiya Delhi Brahmaputra Mail, Mirabari Guwahati Passenger Special, and Salghat Town Guwahati DMU Special would be canceled on June 22.
He said that Kamkhya Anand Vihar Express on June 23 has also been canceled.
He further said that the railway tracks have been damaged due to flood waters in the Chaparmakh Sanchoh section of the Lumding division in Assam.
More than 25 trains were canceled by the NFR on Monday.
