It said the decision to lift the blockade was taken after extensive consultations with various civil society organizations, village heads, youth and women leaders on several occasions.

The ongoing conflict has affected the traditional communal harmony in the state, he said, adding that the people of Kuki Zo have suffered heavily in the ongoing operations by the miscreants and urged the authorities to spare their lives. And protect the property.
The release mentioned that Kuki Zo organizations had earlier met the Union Home Minister and appealed to him to provide security to vulnerable villages in the border and hill areas.
Appreciating that central forces have definitely been deployed in most of these areas and the process is underway, he said, “Once the deployment of central forces in all sensitive areas is complete. , so we will ensure that our volunteers are recalled from these areas. Help restore peace and order.”
It added that the concerned authorities are expected to take all measures to maintain peace and ensure the supply of essential commodities to the needy, especially in the hilly districts.
The release also appealed to all peace-loving organizations and citizens of Manipur to reciprocate their gesture and take steps towards peace and communal harmony in the state.
However, the information and publicity wings of the UPF clarified later in the evening that all the UPF under the umbrella of Zomis ie ZRO/ZRA, HPC(D), ZRF and ZVD are not aware of the lifting of the blockade in NH-2. They were not consulted or included in the imposition and thus are not even aware of the lifting of the blockade.
