Nagaland: Poll duty-bound BSF bus falls off gorge, 19 dead

The accident happened on Thursday due to mechanical issues injuring 24. The injured persons were admitted to Wokha District Hospital.

Kohima: A Zunheboto bound transport conveying 41 Line Security Power (BSF) faculty from the 62 BSF Regiment sent for political race obligation met with a mishap along the Wokha-Mokokchung street close to Doyang waterway. The transport purportedly fell 60-feet down a canyon and was stuck between the trees on Thursday evening. A BSF official affirmed with EastMojo that the episode occurred on Thursday because of mechanical issues, harming 24. The harmed people were confessed to Wokha Area Medical clinic.

As per the official, larger part of the faculty experienced minor wounds while not many were left basic. The basic patients were transported to Guwahati for additional clinical help.

At around 2:45 PM, the 42-seater transport supposedly let completely go and fell around 50-60 feet down a chasm and was stuck between trees.

Staff from a Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) guard that was following it acted quickly to safeguard the individuals who were caught.

After medical aid was managed to the harmed on the spot, they were raced to the closest PHC and were subsequently alluded to the region emergency clinic at Wokha.
