Nagaland: Panel meeting on Naga political issue before visit to Delhi

CM Rio: Women can't be in decision-making Nagas should think
Kohima: Ahead of the next meeting with the Center in Delhi, the Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue, comprising all Nagaland legislators and Members of Parliament (MPs), met at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday.
Minister Niba Kronu , member secretary of the committee, told reporters after the meeting that no resolution was passed during the meeting.
As the core committee of the parliamentary committee recently met with the Naga negotiating groups – NSCN (IM) and NNPGs, he said that the meeting house was informed of the outcome of these meetings.
While the negotiating groups are holding talks at their level, he said that the state government was also holding talks at its own level as a facilitator.
Without elaborating, Cronje said the committee meeting discussed the message that needs to be conveyed to the center.
He said Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Revo and the chairman of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) along with some lawmakers would meet Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton at the Center in Delhi.
The team is expected to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah on April 11.
