Nagaland: NPF president on Naga peace talks says NSCN-IM and NNPGs should be brought together
The President of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) – Shorozeli Lazitsu – has joined the NSCN-IM and NNPGs in the Naga Peace Talks and is fighting for a united front.
NPF President Shorozili Lazitsu said the two stakeholders – NSCN-IM and NNPGs – should be brought together in the Naga peace talks as the government could close the talks separately.
The previous Nagaland boss clergyman further said that it is fundamental that both the gatherings set to the side their disparities and meet up in the harmony talks as the Indian government won’t have “separate settlements”.
“Our main task is to bring the two groups together and form a common front,” Lezitsu said.
He added: “It is unlikely that the Indian government will continue separate talks for a final solution to the Naga issue.”
