Guwahati: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Manoj Pandey on Friday visited Headquarters 3 Corps of Rangapahar Military Station in Dimapur, Nagaland and reviewed the operational preparations in the border state.
During the visit, he was accompanied by GOC-in-C Eastern Command Lt Gen RP Kalita.
COAS General Manoj Pandey was briefed by GOC, 3 Corps, IGAR (South) and IGAR (North) on border management and internal operations to maintain peace and tranquility in the region.
Expressing satisfaction over the robust deployment pattern and operational coordination, the Army Chief commended all ranks of the formation for their outstanding contribution in improving the security situation of the North Eastern states and nation building.
Stressing the need to stay abreast of emerging challenges, the COAS also appreciated the coordination among all agencies to maintain peace in the region.
