KOHIMA: The Naga National Political Groups (NNPG) have alleged that wrong information is being given to the Center on land matters related to the Naga political issue.

The NNPGs have said that the Center should go further to find a solution to the decades-old Naga political issue.
The NNPGs claimed that the resolution of the Naga political issue was more important than the Nagaland Assembly elections next year.

The NNPG consists of seven Naga groups.
The NNPGs alleged that the strong demand of the people for an early resolution of the Naga issue was being ignored.

“This is the time for the Government of India to come,” said the NNPGs.
The NNPG alleged that “the inner circle of GoI representatives and elected representatives of Nagaland are saying one thing one day and doing the opposite the next, playing with the sentiments of the Naga people”.
The NNPG said the four-point resolution passed by all 60 MLAs of the state on July 16, 2022, had given a clear signal to the Center that the Naga tribes, the state government, top civil societies and common people were on its side. are ready for A political solution

However, it did not officially reach the Prime Minister’s Office or the Union Home Minister’s office.

The NNPG alleged that this was just an exercise to fool the Naga people.
In particular, the NNPGs have expressed their willingness to sign the Final Solution and continue negotiations for a separate Naga flag and constitution.

However, the NSCN-IM – another key stakeholder in the negotiations on the Naga political issue – remains steadfast in its demand for a separate Naga flag and constitution for a dignified and inclusive solution to the vexing issue.
