Dimapur: The NSCN (IM) has clarified that the Naga national flag, a symbol of Naga’s political identity, is not negotiable.

“It is inconceivable for the NSCN to accept the Naga national flag as a cultural flag as indicated by the Government of India,” said Nagalim Voice, NSCN’s (IM) monthly new bulletin. He said in his editorial on Thursday.

The solution to the Naga problem is still in balance as the NSCN (IM) adheres to Naga’s separate flag and its own demand for a constitution.
The NSCN (IM) said that when the Framework Agreement was signed on August 3, 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi became “historic” because he called all the political leaders who are important to announce that he has visited the Southeast. Asia’s longest-running insurgency has been resolved. .

It says the whole world, however, was not impressed and was waiting to see how they would combine their words with actions acceptable to the Nagas.

The editorial said, “Today, the NSCN is seeing how the same Prime Minister of India is going to handle the framework agreement with the NSCN and the Nagas that he himself took so much pride and credit. “It simply came to our notice then.
The NSCN (IM) said it was particularly concerned about this and that Nagas, in general, had a “deceptive nature of the Government of India’s habit of signing agreement after agreement”. ۔

According to him, there was such a rudeness on the part of the Indian government that everything that was achieved during the 25 years of Indo-Naga political dialogue was in danger of going down.

Unfortunately, progress is tantamount to political blackmail. But the NSCN is uneasy about such insults, “the editorial read.
It said that the Naga people had seen the Naga political issue which had been defiled on the first three occasions, adding that the NSCN could not allow defilement for the fourth time.

Stating that the signing of the framework agreement was done as a way to prevent the Naga political issue from becoming tainted again, NSCN (IM) said that it would be a great irony if the Indo-Naga political issue continued. Communication is not considered a problem. Politically sacred program.
