Dimapur: A joint consultative meeting of NSCN/GPRN MPs from Sumi Region and Union Territory (UT) was held on 21 July 2023 at a hotel in Dimapur.
The meeting recalled that the Naga political movement was started seventy years ago out of love for Naga history and commitment to defend the political rights associated with it.
“God’s love for the Naga people, especially the freedom fighters who went through fire and water to stand up straight and the need to work closely with God till the attainment of the ultimate political goal of the Nagas was recognized,” the People’s Republic of Nagalam release said.
The members were further enlightened as to how the NSCN held its ground to shoulder the national burden to keep Naga political rights alive, despite desperate attempts by the opposition to destroy Naga history and political rights in favor of the Constitution of India.
Given the complexity of the Naga political issue, the need for courage to maintain party discipline was presented convincingly.
The members were asked to prove themselves as genuine national workers who bear the burden of Naga political issues and face every situation from the right perspective and not get carried away easily.
Committing to move forward, a resolution was adopted to reaffirm its commitment to the landmark Framework Agreement of 3 August 2015.
