Imphal: A 20-member Myanmar delegation that attended the Indo-Myanmar Regional Border Committee meeting at the IGAR (South) Complex in Mantripukhri today returned home.
The Myanmar delegation was led by Major General Than Hatiko, Colonel Nyi Nyi Tin, Lieutenant Colonel Aung Tin Win, Lieutenant Colonel Aung Zaw Myint and Captain Aung Toe.
They were taken to Moreh in three helicopters by 5 Assam Rifles.
From Moreh, the Assam Rifles escorted the Myanmar delegation to the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Bridge.
The meeting started on January 30 and ended yesterday.
According to reports, drug trafficking and unauthorized cross-border movements, particularly the illegal entry of Myanmar nationals into Indian territory, were discussed following a military coup in the neighboring country.
