MLA Birajit Sinha anti-party activities, Congress seeks stern actions
Agartala: Tripura Congress has written to the All India Congress Committee (AICC) requesting to initiate disciplinary action against its MLA Birajit Sinha.
The Tripura Congress has accused Brajit Sinha of ‘anti-party activities’ and ‘fomenting factionalism’ within the party ranks.
It should be noted that Brajit Sinha was the Tripura president of the Congress Party earlier.
According to reports, AICC will respond to Tripura Congress’ request only after the assembly elections in five states of the country are over.
Notably, Brajit Sinha reportedly stopped attending Congress party events after he was removed as Tripura Congress president earlier this year.
In addition, his close associate Samrat Roy was also removed from the post of National Students Union of India (NSUI) Tripura president.
