Aizawl: Mizoram: YMA celebrates founding day across the state.

The Young Mizo Association (YMA), the largest welfare organization in Mizoram and the most powerful civil society organization, is celebrating its founding day across the state on Wednesday.

In addition to events, sports and cultural events, the day was celebrated as a day for community and humanitarian services.
Branches of the organization across the state organized their programs throughout the day during which the members started their priorities such as cleaning their neighborhoods, villages, streets, cemeteries in some places and even building houses for the poor and hospitals. Chief Minister Zoramthanga attended the function held at Zemabawk in Azul.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister lauded the excellent social and humanitarian services of YMA, which he termed as a reflection of Mesos’ image. He urged the organization to continue its services.

Zoramthanga also urged the youth to stay away from drugs, alcohol and other narcotics.
