Mizoram will organize G20 meeting in March

Aizawl: Mizoram will organize the G20 summit here in March next year and the state government has constituted a core committee to oversee preparations for the event, a senior official said on Saturday.

Chief Secretary Rino Sharma said the panel headed by Home Commissioner H Lalengmawia will monitor and oversee all arrangements for the March 2 meeting.
Various sub-committees have also been set up for the “milestone” event, he said.
India officially assumed the G20 presidency on December 1.

The next G20 Summit at Heads of State/Government level is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on September 9 and 10 next year.
