Mizoram: Two apprehended with arms and ammo at the Indo-Myanmar border

Guwahati: The Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles said it recuperated a reserve of arms and ammo from the Zawngling town of Saiha locale along the Indo-Myanmar Border.

The Assam Rifles said that the activity was done by a group of Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police in view of explicit data.

The group in view of the info laid out a check post at the Zawngling crossing.

During the checking, the group caught two people on doubt.

In looking through them the group observed that they were conveying a sum of 20 rounds of 12 check 70mm cartridges alongside two NX100 Airguns.

The two of them were Myanmar nationals who were captured following the recuperation.

The recuperated things alongside the two people were given over to Tuipang Police Station on Tuesday for additional legal procedures.

Prior the Assam Rifles and the Mizoram Police held onto a gigantic store of heroin worth Rs 27.5 lakh and caught two people with it.
