Aizawl: Mizoram reported total 23k cases. Mizoram reported 66 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, a decrease of 53 from the previous day, taking the tally to 2,30,414, a health official said.
He said that of the fresh cases, 49 were reported in Aizawl district, followed by Saitual (12), Hnahthial (three) and Champhai (two).
The one-day positivity rate fell to 16.8 percent from 20.24 percent the previous day as new cases were detected from 408 samples tested.
He said the death toll remained at 706 as there were no new deaths due to the infection in the last 24 hours.
Mizoram now has 1,102 active cases, while 2,28,606 people have recovered from the disease so far, including 31 since Friday.
Mizoram reported total 23k cases ,the discharge rate was 99.21%.
Mizoram has so far tested 19.43 lakh samples for COVID-19, the official said.
State Health Minister Dr R Lalthangliana has urged all the Chief Medical Officers to revive the Covid health centers in their respective districts in view of the increasing case load.
He also appealed to all district hospitals, community, primary and urban health centers to make arrangements for testing samples for corona virus infection.
