Mizoram minister, MLAs takes bike lift due to traffic rush,goes viral

Aizawl: Stuck in their cars in Aizawl traffic, two Mizoram MLAs and a minister reached the assembly on a two-wheeler on Tuesday.

Pictures of Land Revenue and Settlements Minister Lalruatkima, opposition ZPM leader Lalduhoma and ruling MNF legislator F Lalnunmawia riding a scooter through the city’s crazy traffic went viral on social media.
He was on his way to the assembly to attend the budget session when he got stuck in the middle of the road due to road renovation between Temple Square and Vaivakawn due to traffic snarls. Work is underway in the region for the three-day B20 summit, which CII is organizing as part of India’s G20 presidency.
The minister and the ZPM leader were rescued from the traffic by two journalists who were on their way to the assembly.
The three legislators were stuck due to road renovation works. They were standing on the side of the road. As I approached him, Minister Lalruatkima asked me to give him a ride to Lalduhoma. And he got on another journalist’s two-wheeler,” said Zohmingmawia, a senior reporter for a local newspaper.

He said that another person gave a lift to Lalnunmawia.
