Heavy Rain in Northeast
Guwahati: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in Mizoram and Tripura on Sunday. According to the department, rain with thundershowers is likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Assam and Meghalaya may experience widespread rain with thundershowers. The report said that Arunachal Pradesh may experience thundershowers.
A deep depression over East Central and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal is forecast to intensify into a cyclonic storm over the central Bay of Bengal by Monday, leading to heavy rains in the northeast from Sunday to Wednesday.
Very heavy rain is forecast in West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram on Monday.
Thunderstorm is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. According to the IMD, widespread rain with thundershowers is likely over Ganga West Bengal.
