Aizawl: Union Minister of State for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Ashwini Kumar Choubey on Tuesday distributed appointment letters to 79 youth in Mizoram as part of the Centre’s Job Fair initiative.
The 79 recruits are those who got jobs in Assam Rifles, Border Security Force (BSF), Services Selection Board (SSB) and Overseas Bank.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual program to distribute appointment letters to 71,000 new recruits ahead of the Rozgar Mela was also held here at the Assam Rifles Base.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister emphasized the importance of youth as they are the hope of the nation.
He said that youth power (Yuva Shakti) is the power of the country.
The Union Minister arrived in Aizawl on Monday on a three-day visit.
Choubey, who also holds the portfolio of consumer affairs, food and public distribution, held a review meeting with officials of the state food, civil supplies and consumer affairs department, FCI, Bureau of Indian Standards and Central Warehousing Corporation on Tuesday. also did
He also held a meeting with officials of the State Forest Department and Pollution Control Board.
Chaubey also interacted with State Governor Hari Babu Kumhampati and Assembly Speaker Lalrinliana Sailu.
According to officials, the Union Minister will leave for Delhi on Wednesday.
