Mizoram: 119 new COVID-19 cases reported.  In the last 24 hours, 119 new COVID-19 cases were registered in Mizoram with a positive rate of 20.24%, bringing the number of states to 2,30,348, a health department official said on Friday.

No new deaths were reported from COVID-19 during the same period, bringing the death toll to 706, the official said.

However, in the last 24 hours, the number of fresh Cowed 19 cases has increased by 14 compared to the total number of cases reported yesterday.
He said that latest cases have been reported from Aizawl district (61), Lunglei district (38), Saitual district (14), Champhai district (4) and Hnahthial district (2).

The number of active COVID-19 cases now stands at 1,067, while 2,28,575 people have recovered from the infection so far, including 16 in the last 24 hours.
Mizoram has the second highest number of active cases in the northeastern region after Assam, with 3,150 active cases on Friday.

Mizoram accounts for 17.43% of the total 6,119 active cases in the region, according to data released on Friday by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
