Mission Basundhara: High rate of handling of applications filed under Himanta

Guwahati, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Sunday that ‘Mission Basundhara’, an initiative to provide temporary services under the Revenue Department, has recorded a high rate of application handling as the first phase of the program it is finished.

Announcing the incentives for the employees attached to the mission, he added that the second phase would be launched in October.
After participating in a program to mark the occasion, Sarma tweeted, “Glad to announce the successful completion of Mission Basundhara with a very high application disposal rate.”
He said that all the services provided under the mission would be available on the Right to Public Service (RTPS) portal from May 11.

The CM also said that Mission Basundhara2.0 would be launched on October 2, one year after the launch of the first phase of the initiative.

Under ‘Mission Basundhara ‘, the government has sought to update land records online, facilitate land conversion and exchange services, and eliminate the role of middlemen, among other facilities.The main objective of the mission, which is a pet project of the Chief Minister, is to conduct a detailed survey of non-cadastral villages (where no survey has been conducted till date and no such revenue has been collected) and to ensure that That land records were fully digitized by the state by December 2023.
