Guwahati: Assam Tourism Minister Jayantha Malla Baruah on Monday flagged off Fly Big flight services from Guwahati to Dibrugarh at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport.
The inaugural flight of Fly Big Flight services between Guwahati-Dibrugarh-Guwahati took off from Guwahati with 64 passengers on board.
Fly Big flight services will be operated between Guwahati-Dibrugarh-Guwahati and Guwahati-Silchar-Guwahati.
Assam Tourism Development Corporation Limited (ATDCL) will support Viability Gap Funding Scheme (VGF) funding through Flybug and weekly operations of flights in both sectors will be mutually decided by both parties. Will do.
Fly Big, a leading Guwahati-based airline has launched daily Guwahati-Dibrugarh-Guwahati morning and evening direct flights. The inaugural flight was flagged off by Shri.

The flight will operate daily at 9:30 AM and return at 04:30 PM.
Secretary to the Chief Minister of Assam Maninder Singh Principal also participated in the flag hoisting ceremony in Guwahati.

The Dibrugarh to Guwahati flight was flagged off by Rituparna Baruah, ATDC Chairman and Dibrugarh DC Biswajit Pegu.
In his address to the media, Assam Tourism Minister Jayantha Mala Baruah said that the Assam government is committed to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream project of connecting the far-flung regions of the Northeast through air connectivity.
He told the media that Fly Big will also start Guwahati-Silchar-Guwahati flight from next May 15.
Both these flights will be operated by ATDC for Assam under Viability Gap funding to promote regional AT connectivity.
He also said that whether it is flood, evacuation or providing connectivity to remote areas of the state, Fly Big is the first choice of Assam Chief Minister DR Himanta Biswa Sarma.
