Shillong:Two children were found strangled in Shillong area.Two children were found strangled to death in a horrific incident in Wahktieh Nongrah, Nonglum area of ​​Shillong on Tuesday morning.

One was a four-year-old boy and the other a two-year-old girl. Police are suspicious of the children’s father, who has been on the run since Monday evening.
According to a family relative, the father took the children for an evening walk on Monday and did not return. The wife did not find this unusual because the father would take the children for a walk every evening. But when the father did not return with the children on Monday, he lodged an FIR at the Rynjah police station around 11 pm.

The next morning (Tuesday), the residents of the neighborhood found the bodies and immediately informed the head of the area and the police.
The father, identified as 29-year-old Joefreeson Jana, is currently a suspect. However, police are still investigating and searching. The team is led by SP City Vivek Syiem.

The bodies of the two minors will be shifted to NEIGHRIMS for autopsy, police said.
