Shillong: Members of the Baptist Revival Church in Dimapur and Kohima in Nagaland fasted and prayed after a terrifying ‘vision’ of a member of the group.
A member of a church in Nagaland witnessed the Amim dam bursting near Shillong in Meghalaya, causing heavy loss of life and property.
The prophecy came to one of the prayer warriors from a group of 24 while they were praying for their program, the Shillong Times reported.
The prayer group reportedly said they had no idea about the dam, nor had it been discussed before prayer time.
The church’s prayer group plans to visit Amim Dam on August 30 to intercede on its behalf and pray for the safety of the people living in the low-lying areas of the dam.
Notably, Amim Dam near Shillong in Meghalaya is one of the oldest hydroelectric structures in the Northeast.
According to reports, the lifespan of Amim Dam has been reduced by at least five years due to pollution and silting. It is predicted to be completed by 2024.
