Meghalaya: HITO writes to PM Modi, demands CBI-ED probe into corruption

Shillong: Hynniewtrep Integrated Territorial Organization HITO writes to PM Modi,  a pressure group in Meghalaya, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding a CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe into alleged scams in the state.
In a memorandum sent to PM Narendra Modi through Meghalaya BJP president Ernest Mawrie, HITO writes to PM Modi president Donbuk Dakhar accused the CBI of alleged illegal mining and transportation of coal, recruitment of teachers and gambling and urged the ED to investigate.
Meghalaya BJP president Ernest Mawrie said the party would study in depth the report on various alleged corruption cases prepared by HIT.

“Demand for a CBI inquiry into the alleged coal mining and transportation in the state, stating that till date no positive response has been given by the central government in this regard,” the memorandum said.
HIT also demanded that the central government conduct a CBI enquiry into various alleged scams of the previous regime.

The current government, including the alleged coal scam, teacher recruitment scam, social welfare department scam.

Rice Scam, Saubhagya Scam, ISBT Scam, New Assembly Building Scam, ADC Fund Scam, Smart Meter Scam, Smart City Scam, Procurement Scam, Use of Police HQ Vehicles etc.
“On the basis of the said alleged scam, HITO through you appeals to the central government to kindly implement a CBI inquiry and book cases against all corrupt ministers and officials of the state to bring corruption free and accountable governance. can go.” Dkhar said.
