Amparien Langdoh Quits Congress
Shillong: Former Meghalaya minister and senior Congress leader Amparien Lyngdoh quit Congress has officially the grand old party.
Ampareen Lyngdoh has handed over his formal resignation to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Ampareen Lyngdoh, the sitting MLA in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly from Shillong East constituency, was earlier suspended from the Congress party for supporting the NPP-led MDA government in Meghalaya, in which BJ P is also a fraction.
“Recent developments within the party have led me to believe that it has lost its sense of direction,” Amprin Lyngdoh said in her resignation letter.
He said that there is a dire need for the party and its leadership to consider it.
Amparian Langdoh in his resignation letter. “The party (Congress) has lost touch with the people of Meghalaya,” he added.
“I no longer believe that this (Congress) is the best platform for me to serve them (the people of Meghalaya),” Imprin Langdoh said in his resignation letter.
