Shillong: Meghalaya Police has claimed that state BJP vice-president Bernard Marak’s farmhouse at Tora in West Garo Hills district was used as a hideout.
The Meghalaya police made the claim after raiding the Rimpu Bagan farmhouse of Meghalaya BJP vice-president Bernard Marak on Friday night (July 22).
As a result of the raid, it was found that the place was allegedly being used for illegal activities including sex crimes, Meghalaya Police said.

The Meghalaya police made the claim after raiding the Ramapo Bagan farmhouse of Meghalaya BJP vice-president Bernard Marak on Friday night (July 22).
As a result of the raid, it was found that the place was allegedly being used for illegal activities including sex crimes, Meghalaya Police said.
The raid, which also led to the seizure of several contraceptives from rooms used by ‘customers’.
The raid was conducted in February this year in connection with the disappearance of a minor girl.
“We received a complaint from a person on February 28 that her minor daughter, who had been missing for a week, was traced by relatives to a suspect that day and the women police in Tora Later, it was found that the minor was sexually assaulted multiple times over the course of a week. While recording the statement, she told the court that she was taken to Rimpu Bagan with a friend where she The man rented a room where he was sexually assaulted multiple times,” said SPVS Rathore of West Garo Hills, who led the raid in Meghalaya. said at the BJP vice-president’s farmhouse on Friday night.
After the raid, the Meghalaya police have detained a total of 68 people, including 24 girls.
Police also found five children, four boys and one girl, kept under lock and key in unsanitary conditions.
